Frequently Asked Questions #
Primary students should arrive at their campus between 8:15-8:35am to be ready for the school day starting at 8:40am.
Secondary students should arrive by 8:20am, with classes beginning at 8:30am.
Please note that students should not be dropped off before 8:15am, as supervision is not available prior to this time.
School finishes at:
- 3:00pm for Kindy
- 3:10pm for Pre-Primary to Year 6
- 3:25pm for Year 7 to Year 12
We encourage parents to arrive with their children on the first day to help them settle in and find their classrooms. Please note that the first few days of a new school year are especially busy, and our car parks can become congested. We ask all families to take extra care when arriving and collecting students: drive slowly, follow all road rules (which apply within our car parks), and remain alert to children moving through the area.

Parking and Drop-off Reminder
Please be considerate of our neighbours by avoiding parking on verges or blocking driveways. Parking in the bus bay on Armstrong Road is not permitted, even for quick drop-offs. Similarly, the set-down area on Dalton Place is for brief drop-offs only. Please do not park and leave your vehicle.
Parking at the Wilson Community Hall on Braibrise Road is also not allowed, as it is a public facility not affiliated with the College.
If parking is unavailable, we recommend looping around Armstrong Road or Dalton Place and returning once a bay becomes free. Thank you for your cooperation.
Kenwick K-12

Parents with Kindy and Pre-Primary children are to park via Gate 1, 270 Brixton Street. You can then access the campus from entryways near to the stairs.
Parents with children in Years 1-12 are to park via Gate 2, 280 Brixton Street. You can then access the Primary School by walking around the Gym, and the Secondary School through the main entry foyer.
Parking and Drop-Off Reminder
Please be mindful not to block our neighbours’ driveways, park on verges, or use the Kenwick Community Facility car park at the corner of Brixton Street and Kenwick Road, as it is a public space not operated by the College. City Rangers regularly patrol these areas and may issue fines for vehicles parked illegally.
Students are expected to arrive at school dressed neatly in the official Rehoboth uniform.
Wearing the correct uniform is a non-negotiable part of daily school life, as we believe it helps students develop a sense of respect for themselves, for each other, and in representing the College. We greatly appreciate parents’ support in maintaining these high standards.
We understand that, on rare occasions, families may not have all uniform items ready for the start of school. In such cases, a short grace period will be allowed while items are being acquired.
Parents and students should refer to the Primary and Secondary Uniform Manuals or visit the Uniform Shop for guidance.
All uniform items can be purchased from one of the College’s uniform shops.
New uniform items can be purchased online or at the Perm-A-Pleat Schoolwear Outlet: Unit 6/2, Hensbrook Loop, Forrestdale 6112.
Secondhand Uniforms #
Kenwick: This shop operates out of the old uniform shop, situated between the Primary and Secondary Schools, at the rear side of the gym. If parents would like to browse the available second-hand uniforms, please visit either the Kenwick Primary or Secondary reception. A member of our staff will be happy to unlock the door for you.
Wilson: This shop is located in the Wilson Gym, in Room G.12 and is open on Mondays, 3:00-3:30pm.
Parents wishing to buy or sell Second-hand uniform items privately may also use the Sustainable School Shop. Rehoboth is a registered school on this website. Please contact the shop on 0438 743 444 if you have any queries.
Kindy Students
Class resources are provided by the College, the cost of which is covered in our resource levy. Kindy students should bring a water bottle, recess, and lunch to eat in a secure schoolbag as needed according to their staggered start schedule.
PP-Year 6 Students
Pre-Primary to Year 6 students should bring their booklist items, with all items correctly labelled with their full name to class. Their teachers will show them where to store items. Students should also bring a water bottle, recess, and lunch to eat in a secure schoolbag.
Year 7-12 Students
Year 7-12 students do not need to bring their entire booklist with them on the first day of school. A notebook or file with looseleaf paper along with a few pens and a ruler will be sufficient for day one. Students will be receiving timetables, receiving their devices, making locker arrangements, and getting to grips with their room allocations over the first few days. Once they have their timetables, the best idea is to then bring in the booklist items needed for each day until everything they need is stored in a locker or has been given a storage space.
Wilson K-6

In order to transition our Pre-Primary students into their new, full-time schooling routine and accommodate on-entry assessments, we will begin the school year with a staggered start.
In the first week of school, Pre-Primary students will attend two days only – Wednesday and Thursday. For Weeks 2-3, Tuesday and Thursday will be student free days. On-entry assessments are scheduled for these days, with no Pre-Primary classes running.
From Week 4, students will commence their full schedule of five days a week, which will then continue for the remainder of the year.
The on-entry assessment program rates each student’s early literacy and numeracy skills. The assessments of students entering Pre-Primary is a requirement of the Department of Education.
There is no pass or fail, and students are not required to prepare for the assessments. They are intended to be an honest snapshot of each student’s skills to help teachers plan and deliver targeted learning programs that address the needs of every student.
Please be punctual for your child’s appointment as we have a tight schedule. If your appointment time is unsuitable, please arrange to swap with another parent and notify the Kenwick K-6 Administration Office of the change.

The State Government, through the Department of Education, provides financial support to eligible parents through the Secondary Assistance Scheme (SAS). The aim of this scheme is to assist low-income families with Secondary school costs.
To be eligible for the allowance the parent/guardian must hold a Services Australia (Centrelink) or Veterans’ Affairs card that represents a statement of income for the family. Eligible parents/guardians with students enrolled in Year 7 to 12 studying a full time Secondary course at a Western Australian non-government school will be able to apply for the SAS in 2026.
The SAS consists of two allowances:
- $115 Clothing Allowance paid directly to the parent/guardian; and
- $235 Education Program Allowance paid directly to the school.
If you’re a parent/guardian who is eligible and interested to apply for the SAS, complete an application form. Applications close on Thursday 2 April 2026.
We are excited to welcome your child to Year 7 and the start of their Secondary school journey this year.
Our Year 7 program will begin earlier than the rest of the College with a half-day start. Year 7 students will commence on Friday 30 January 2026, while all other students will start on Monday 2 February.
We’ll be using the extra half day to begin the transition from Primary to Secondary School without the distraction of other students. Please bring your child to the Kenwick Campus Gym at 8:30am on Friday. Students should wear their sports uniform and bring the following items:
- Booklist items
- Water bottle
- Recess
- Hat
Please note that our College buses will not be running on Friday. Bus services will commence on Monday 2 February.
Parents are warmly invited to join us in the gym foyer for a cup of tea or coffee as we start the day. We will welcome students at 8:30am, and throughout the day, they will move into their Form rooms to set up their desks, meet their teachers, get to know one another, and begin the Year 7 academic year.
The day will conclude at 12:30pm, and students can be collected from the Kenwick Campus Gym at that time.
We look forward to seeing you and your child on Friday 30 January.
Year 8-12 students may apply for a locker to store textbooks and other items.
Please read the terms and conditions carefully in the Year 8-12 Locker Contract and complete the Parent and Student Declaration if your student would like to use a locker.
If you wish your child to drive themselves to school, please ensure you have read the Student Driver Policy before completing the applicable form. We also will require a copy of the student’s current driver’s license to accompany the application.
Once the application has been approved, the student is able to drive to school, park in the designated student parking zone, and must display the school student driver sticker on their windscreen. All permissions to drive are subject to review throughout the year.
General Information #
Campus Canteens
Our canteens are open from Tuesday 4 February, serving staff and students three days a week at Kenwick and two days a week at Wilson.
Contributing to the canteen is one way parents can earn College Support hours for a discount on tuition fees. There are two ways to volunteer:
- Helping in the canteen (preparing meals, serving students, clearing away after each service, etc.)
- Providing home-baked cupcakes or treats for sale (baking guidelines apply).
Volunteer Survey
Parents interested in volunteering at either campus are asked to complete the Canteen Volunteer Survey by 4:00pm Friday 7 February. Once you have completed the survey, our Canteen Managers will be in touch to confirm your preferred roster.
More information about the canteen can be found here.
To help you stay informed, please take a moment to review the Bus Manual.
Bus Applications
We are now accepting applications for our 2026 bus routes.
- New Students: If your child will be joining the bus service, please complete the Bus Application form.
- Existing Students: If your child currently uses the bus and you wish to make changes to their booking, please submit a new 2026 Application form.
- No Longer Using Bus: If your child will not require bus transport in 2026, please contact our Bus Administration Assistant directly.
If you are requesting a new stop on one of our routes, we cannot guarantee your stop request will be approved. All new stop requests are assessed in relation to the timing of the full bus route. We will communicate with you to confirm if your request has been approved or discuss alternatives.
Bus Routes
Students new to Rehoboth will have a two-week grace period from the start of school to arrange bus passes and register for their route. From Week 3 on, students without a valid bus pass will not be permitted to travel on the College buses.
Existing students will have a one-week grace period from the start of school to arrange their bus passes and routes.
Bus Standards
There are a few things that we would like to ask for your help with to keep our buses running safely and efficiently:
- All students must tag on/off the bus using their SmartRider card. Please ensure that your child is using their SmartRider card every time they get on and off the bus.
- Students are to arrive at their stop 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time to make sure they don’t miss the bus.
- All parents and students should be aware of our Bus Standards and Conditions of Use Policy. This covers the behaviour we expect of students using the bus service. Please remind your child to be respectful to the drivers and other passengers, and to behave appropriately.
Our BusMinder app allows you to live track the bus and choose to receive notifications when your child tags on and off the bus. If you like to be set up with the app, please contact our Bus Administration Assistant.
Thank you for your ongoing support and for helping us to keep our buses running smoothly and safely.
Please see our fee schedule for current rates.
The fee schedule is valid from April in the current year through to March of the following year. There is typically a fee increase from April each year.
College fees are billed once per term and must be settled in full by 25 March, June, September, and November. We accept payments monthly, fortnightly, or weekly; however, your account must be settled in full on or before the last day of each term.
We request that families pay by direct debit wherever possible, as collections can then be adjusted with your approval to settle your account by the end of each term. If you are experiencing any difficulty in making payments, kindly contact the Business Office to make an appointment for a confidential discussion with the Finance Manager.
There are five options for payment of fees:
- Direct debit: This option is preferred by the majority of families, with weekly, fortnightly, or monthly options available. If you would like to set up a direct debit option, please complete the authorisation form. Please note, direct debit is mandatory if your account is in arrears.
- Credit card: Payment by credit card can be made over the phone or in person at the Business Office or at any of our Administration Offices.
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT): Payments via internet banking. If using this method, please ensure that your family surname and initial appears as the reference for the transaction. Note that the student’s name is not required. The College’s details for EFT payments are:
- Acct name: Association for Christian Education Inc.
- Bank: ANZ Bank Cannington
- BSB: 016-270
- Acct No: 4255 42729
- Centrepay: This is a service offered by Centrelink to make regular payments directly from benefits. If you are interested in this method, please contact the Business Office for further details.
- Cash or cheque: Payments can be made at the Business Office or at any Administration Office.
The Instrumental Music Programme (IMP) offers instrumental tuition to students at the College during school hours. For more information on the programme, see our manual.
The cut off date for IMP enrolments is Sunday 19 January if you would like to enrol your child in IMP for Semester 1.
If your child is already enrolled in our IMP lessons, you do not need to re-enrol them as this happens automatically. If you would like to make changes to their enrolment, please use the enrolment form and follow prompts to request changes.
If you currently have a child enrolled in IMP and wish to withdraw them from the programme, please complete a withdrawal form by Sunday 19 January.
We have several manuals that cover a wide range of frequently asked questions and other points of information that will come up over the year. They are a great place to start if you are after details on a particular area:
We run a very successful device programme in Years 4-12 that brings educational benefits to students in the classroom and at home. The College provides students with a device on a loan arrangement. There are no additional charges to parents for this service.
Parents and students will need to complete the ICT Student Device Loan Agreement by Week 3 of Term 1.
Rehoboth has been recognised by Microsoft as a Surface Gold school for our leading application of technology in our teaching and learning. For more information on our Microsoft tools visit the Parent Guides for Microsoft Tools.
Please note that the Swimming Lessons are only for our Wilson Year 3-6 students. Lessons will begin on Wednesday 5 February in Week 1 of Term 1, 2025.
Services often change at the start of the school year. These changes include School Specials, as well as regular routes that services school in the area.
Parents should note that the Armadale train line, including the Kenwick station, is now closed while construction is underway on the Metronet.
These changes are made in order to offer the best possible service across the network.
Students intending to travel to school via public transport should:
- Check transperth.wa.gov.au for information. As services change, website information will be updated
- Plan your journey prior to the start of school. The JourneyPlanner will be updated with the new school services two weeks prior to the start of school. Remember to change the date in the JourneyPlanner to the first day of school
- Not every school will undergo changes, however all students should plan their journey before starting the new school year.

Two great lies have been promoted in our culture: 'If you work hard enough, you can be anything you want to be,' and 'You can be the best in the world'. Success, defined as being the master of one's own destiny, has become an idol [....] As Christians, we have a mission that our Lord expects us to accomplish right now. We are called to steward all we have been given while we wait for our Saviour's return.
