Frequently Asked Questions #
Students should arrive at the College between 8:15-8:35am so that they are ready when the school day starts at 8:40am. Students should not be dropped off prior to 8:15am as there is no supervision provided before this time.
School finishes at 3:00pm for Kindy students and 3:10pm for students in Pre-Primary to Year 12.
We encourage parents to arrive with their children for their first day of school to help them find their classroom and settle in. However, the first few days of a new school year are always hectic and our car parks become incredibly busy. Please take special care when arriving and collecting your children, obey all road rules (which also apply to our car parks), drive slowly and be observant of students.
Wilson K-6
Please respect our neighbours by not blocking their driveways or parking on their verges. Please do not park in the bus bay on Armstrong Road (even to set down), and do not park and exit your vehicle in the set down only area on Dalton Place. Parking at the Wilson Community Hall on Braibrise Road is not permitted as this is a public facility not operated by the College. If you cannot find parking immediately, we recommend looping around Armstrong Road or Dalton Place and returning until a bay becomes free.
Kenwick K-12
Parents with Kindy and Pre-Primary children may park via Gate 1, 270 Brixton Street. You can then access the campus from entryways near to the stairs.
Parents with children in Years 1-12 may park via Gate 2, 280 Brixton Street. You can then access the Primary School by walking around the Gym, and the Secondary School through the main entry foyer.
Please do not block in our neighbours’ driveways, park on the verges, or at the Kenwick Community Facility on the corner of Brixton Street and Kenwick Road, as this is a public facility not operated by the College. City Rangers are often on patrol and will issue fines for parking in these areas.
Students are required to come to school dressed and presented neatly in the official Rehoboth uniform. During normal day to day schooling, wearing the correct uniform is a non-negotiable matter because we believe that a high standard of dress and adherence to our uniform are important in helping students develop a sense of respect for themselves, for each other, and for the reputation of the College. The cooperation of parents in helping to maintain the high standards of appearance we expect is much appreciated.
However, we appreciate that on rare occasions you may be unable to obtain the correct uniform items in time for the start of school and so these students will be permitted a short grace period while you acquire the uniform.
Parents and students should both be familiar with our Primary and Secondary Uniform Manuals. You may also enquire at the Uniform Shop about the correct items for your child’s year level. All uniform items can be purchased from one of the College’s three uniform shops.
New uniform items can be purchased online or at our Kenwick Campus shop.

Kindy Students
Class resources are provided by the College, the costs of which are covered in our resource levy. Kindy students should bring a water bottle, recess, and lunch to eat in a secure schoolbag as needed according to their staggered start schedule.
PP-Year 6 Students
Pre-Primary to Year 6 students should bring their booklist items, with all items correctly labelled with their full name to class. Their teachers will show them where to store items. Students should also bring a water bottle, recess, and lunch to eat in a secure schoolbag.
Year 7-12 Students
Year 7-12 students do not need to bring their entire booklist with them on the first day of school. A notebook or file with looseleaf paper along with a couple of pens and a ruler will be sufficient for day one. Students will be receiving timetables, receiving their devices, making locker arrangements, and getting to grips with their room allocations over the first few days. Once they have their timetables, the best idea is to then bring in the booklist items needed for each day until everything they need is stored in a locker or has been given a storage space.Wilson K-6

Kindy and Pre-Primary (Kenwick) #
To transition our Kindy students into their new schooling routine, we will begin the school with a staggered start. on their first week, students will attend only one day. For the second and third weeks they will attend two days. Week 4 will start their full schedule of three days a week, which will then continue for the remainder of the year.
The tables below show the staggered start schedule for your student’s Kindy.
Kindy Blue
Kindy Red
In order to transition our Pre-Primary students into their new, full time schooling routine and accommodate on-entry assessments, we will begin the school year with a staggered start.
In the first week of school, Pre-Primary students will attend two days only – Wednesday and Thursday. For Weeks 2-3, Tuesday and Thursday will be student free days. On-entry assessments are scheduled for these days, with no Pre-Primary classes running.
From Week 4, students will commence their full schedule of five days a week, which will then continue for the remainder of the year.
The on-entry assessment program rates each student’s early literacy and numeracy skills. The assessments of students entering Pre-Primary is a requirement of the Department of Education.
There is no pass or fail, and students are not required to prepare for the assessments. They are intended to be an honest snapshot of each student’s skills to help teachers plan and deliver targeted learning programs that address the needs of every student.
Please be punctual for your child’s appointment as we have a tight schedule. If your appointment time is unsuitable, please arrange to swap with another parent and notify the Kenwick K-6 Administration Office of the change.
General Information #
Campus Canteens
Our canteens are open from Thursday 1 February, serving staff and students three days a week at Kenwick and two days a week at Wilson. Contributing to the canteen is one way parents can earn College Support hours for a discount on tuition fees. There are two ways to volunteer:
- Helping in the canteen (preparing meals, serving students, clearing away after each service, etc.)
- Providing home-baked cupcakes or treats for sale (baking guidelines apply).
Volunteer Survey
Parents interested in volunteering at either campus are asked to complete the Canteen Volunteer Survey by 8:00am Monday 5 February. Once you have completed the survey, our Canteen Managers will be in touch to confirm your preferred roster. More information about the canteen can be found here.Kenwick K-6
Class lists will be posted on the community board outside the K-6 Administration Office on Monday 29 January. Parents may check these lists to find out which class their child will be in, and their teacher’s name.
Wilson K-6
Year 1-6 Class lists will be displayed on the whiteboard in the Student Entry at the Administration area on Monday 29 January in preparation for the first day of school on Wednesday 31 January.
Bus Routes
If you are planning for your students to catch one of the College’s buses to and from school, please refer to the route maps available via SEQTA Engage (you must log into your account to view them for student safety reasons).
Students new to Rehoboth will have a two-week grace period from the start of school to arrange bus passes and register for their route. From Week 3 on, students without a valid bus pass will not be permitted to travel on the College buses.
Existing students will have a one-week grace period from the start of school to arrange their bus passes and routes.
Bus Standards
There are a few things that we would like to ask for your help with to keep our buses running safely and efficiently:
- All students must tag on/off the bus using their SmartRider card. Please ensure that your child is using their SmartRider card every time they get on and off the bus.
- Students are to arrive at their stop 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time to make sure they don’t miss the bus.
- All parents and students should be aware of our Bus Standards and Conditions of Use Policy. This covers the behaviour we expect of students using the bus service. Please remind your child to be respectful to the drivers and other passengers, and to behave appropriately.
Our BusMinder app allows you to live track the bus and choose to receive notifications when your child tags on and off the bus. If you like to be set up with the app, please contact our Bus Administration Assistant.
Thank you for your ongoing support and for helping us to keep our buses running smoothly and safely.
Homework bags for Pre-Primary to Year 6 students are available for purchase from the Wilson Administration Office from Monday 29 January. Bags cost $11.00 each and payment can be made at the Administration Office.
The Instrumental Music Programme (IMP) offers instrumental tuition to students at the College during school hours. For more information on the programme, see our manual.
The cut off date for IMP enrolments is Sunday 21 January if you would like to enrol your child in IMP for Semester 1.
If your child is already enrolled in our IMP lessons, you do not need to re-enrol them as this happens automatically. If you would like to make changes to their enrolment, please use the enrolment form and follow prompts to request changes.
If you currently have a child enrolled in IMP and wish to withdraw them from the programme, please complete a withdrawal form by Sunday 21 January.
As we gear up for the start of term, a review of medical alerts is being undertaken. This is so that we can continue to provide appropriate care for our students as needed.
If your child has a medical condition that requires medication (such as asthma, allergies or anaphylactic reactions), we ask that you do the following:
- Visit your GP for a review. If your child has asthma, allergies, or anaphylactic reactions, please get him/her to fill out the appropriate action plan. The school will use this to administer the appropriate medication at school if required.
- Review and update your child’s medical information on Consent2Go.
- If you have taken medication (such as Ventolin, an Epipen, antihistamines etc.) home for the holidays, please return this to the Kenwick Primary Administration Office by Wednesday 31 January.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our friendly administration team on 9274 9930 or email the Kenwick K-6 Administration Office.
We have several manuals that cover a wide range of frequently asked questions and other points of information that will come up over the year. They are a great place to start if you are after details on a particular area:
The State Government, through the Department of Education, provides financial support to eligible parents through the Secondary Assistance Scheme (SAS). The aim of this scheme is to assist low-income families with Secondary school costs. Eligible parents/guardians with students enrolled in Year 7 to 12 studying a full time Secondary course at a Western Australian non-government school will be able to apply for the SAS in 2024.
We run a very successful device programme in Years 4-12 that brings educational benefits to students in the classroom and at home. The College provides students with a device on a loan arrangement. There are no additional charges to parents for this service.
Parents and students will need to complete the ICT Student Device Loan Agreement by Week 3 of Term 1.
Rehoboth has been recognised by Microsoft as a Surface Gold school for our leading application of technology in our teaching and learning. For more information on our Microsoft tools visit the Parent Guides for Microsoft Tools.
This is a reminder to parents of Year 3-6 students that swimming forms need to be returned to the Kenwick K-6 Administration office ASAP (if you have not already done so). Students are unable to swim without a completed form.
If your form has gone missing, you can download one here. The completed form can also be emailed to the Kenwick K-6 Administration Office.
Swimming lessons for Year 3-6 students begin on the very first day of Term 1 (31 January 2024).
Please refer to our Community Calendar for the lesson times.
For any student to participate in the swimming lessons, all parents must have filled out a Department of Education Swimming Enrolment Form.
The completed form needs to be emailed to the Wilson K-6 Administration Office before Wednesday 31 January 2024.
Thank you to parents who have been emailing through their forms throughout the holiday break. The Consent2Go invitations with all the relevant details will be sent out around 23 January.
Services often change at the start of the school year. These changes include School Specials, as well as regular routes that services school in the area.
Parents should note that the Armadale train line, including the Kenwick station, is now closed while construction is underway on the Metronet.
These changes are made in order to offer the best possible service across the network.
Students intending to travel to school via public transport should:
- Check transperth.wa.gov.au for information. As services change, website information will be updated
- Plan your journey prior to the start of school. The JourneyPlanner will be updated with the new school services two weeks prior to the start of school. Remember to change the date in the JourneyPlanner to the first day of school
- Not every school will undergo changes, however all students should plan their journey before starting the new school year.
The Uniform Shop is located at the Kenwick Campus (Room G15), behind the Gym. View one of the Kenwick Campus maps for directions.

We’ll be using the extra day to begin the transition from Primary to Secondary School without the distraction of other students around.
Please bring your child to the Kenwick Campus Gym at 8:15am on Tuesday. Students should wear their sports uniform and bring:
- their booklist items (NB: booklists will be released before the end of Term 4)

The day will finish at our normal time of 3:10pm. Students will walk to the carpark in front of the Gym, ready for you to collect them.
Year 9-12 students may apply for a locker to store textbooks and other items.
Please read the terms and conditions carefully in the Year 9-12 Locker Contract and complete the Parent and Student Declaration if your student would like to use a locker.
If you wish your child to drive themselves to school in 2024, please ensure you have read the Student Driver Guidelines before completing the applicable form. We also will require a copy of the student’s current driver’s license to accompany the application.
Once the application has been approved by Mr Peletier, the student is then able to drive to school, park in the designated student parking zone and as a condition must display the school student driver sticker on the windscreen. All permissions to drive are subject to review throughout the year.
Two great lies have been promoted in our culture: 'If you work hard enough, you can be anything you want to be,' and 'You can be the best in the world'. Success, defined as being the master of one's own destiny, has become an idol [....] As Christians, we have a mission that our Lord expects us to accomplish right now. We are called to steward all we have been given while we wait for our Saviour's return.
