Overview #
Every Western Australian, including staff, students, and parents at Rehoboth, play their part in helping to stop the spread of COVID-19. This applies whether on Campus or on excursions.

Statement of Practice #
- To limit and prevent the spread of COVID-19, all persons are expected to observe the procedures contained in this policy.
- The College follows the advice issued by the Department of Health and the Department of Education (WA) as issued and amended from time to time. Any changes to these protocols are communicated in a timely manner.
Symptoms of COVID-19 #
COVID-19 can cause a range of symptoms. These can range from mild illness to pneumonia. If you experience any of the symptoms below, no matter how mild, please arrange a COVID-19 test.
- Fever (>37.5°C) or recent history of fever (e.g. night sweats, chills) without a known source.
- Acute respiratory symptoms, including cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny nose.
- Acute loss of smell or taste.
Procedures #
Adults #
- Book to receive your COVID-19 vaccination, or if not yet eligible, register at Roll Up for WA to be notified when you can book your vaccination.
- Know and observe the limits for public gatherings.
- Clean surfaces and objects such as doorknobs, computer keyboards, and phones regularly.
- Face masks must be worn in certain settings. Masks are not necessary for children under 12. When mask rules are in place, they are required in public, when travelling, in a personal vehicle, private car, hired car, ride-share vehicle, or taxi. Persons under a quarantine direction, are required to wear a face mask when presenting for a COVID-19 test.
- If concerned or symptomatic, seek medical advice and arrange to be tested.
Adults and Children #
- Follow the hygiene rules:
- Wash your hands often and for at least 20 seconds at a time with soap and water, or use hand sanitiser.
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use your inner elbow. Throw the tissue in the bin immediately.
- Stay home if unwell. Do not go to work or school. Tell an adult, who may arrange for you to be tested.
- Practice physical distancing:
- Keep at least 1.5m (or two arm lengths) minimum distance from others.
- Avoid physical greetings such as shaking hands, hugs, or kisses.
- Use tap and pay instead of cash.
- Avoid large public gatherings and places where there are lots of people. Visit places at quieter times, or if you arrive and it is busy, leave and come back when the crowds have reduced. Do not visit others if they are unwell.
- If feeling unwell, stay at home. Do not go to work or school. If you experience any of the symptoms listed above, no matter how mild, arrange a COVID-19 test via your GP or testing centre.
