There is not a square inch in the whole domain of human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry 'Mine!'

Induction Registration #
Please indicate your attendance at the induction day below to assist us with catering and numbers. If you aren’t able to attend our HR Officer will contact you about completing the necessary modules.
Welcome to Rehoboth #
Congratulations on your appointment!
God has brought you to work here at Rehoboth Christian College, and we believe He will bless your work and your personal life as you serve Him and His people faithfully in this place. It is our prayer that God will continue help you to grow and be all that He has planned for you to be as you sow into the lives of our students, families, and staff.
At Rehoboth, we are strongly committed to God’s Word and encouraging students to pursue excellence not only academically, but spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically. We call this our whole-child approach to education. Our challenge, in partnership with our parents, is to ensure the development of the whole child by presenting the world and all its myriad issues through the lens of God’s Word – what we refer to as a Christian worldview.
The Bible states that ‘Jesus grew in wisdom, stature, and in favour with God and man’ (Luke 2:52). With God’s help, our aim is to grow our students in the same way, as we also grow.
As we strive to meet the College’s vision, mission and purpose, we must always keep in mind the individual needs of students as well as the collective needs of the class. This means that communication between student and teacher, as well as teacher and parent, is paramount to ensure the success of all and achieve a healthy partnership, where open communication is normal.
Regardless of the individual abilities of Rehoboth students, our expectations should be set high. Wherever the bar is set, students will attempt to reach that standard. We believe that it is important to encourage and challenge each student to strive to reach their personal best. This looks different for each child and takes a great deal of energy, but it is something that all can strive for.
It is expected that all staff will be thoroughly informed regarding policy and procedures. For us to fairly and consistently maintain good order and discipline across the College, we all must know the policies and enforce them to the best of our abilities. A unified, cooperative spirit in this area has the potential to promote a sound Christian learning environment for our students.
We also recommended that you familiarise yourself with the parent and student manuals which are available via this site, so that you’re aware of the expectations we have for parents and students at the College.
We’re very happy to have you on board as a member of the team at Rehoboth. Again, we thank you for giving of yourself and we look forward to seeing what God will do in and through you!
Induction Information #
We are delighted to welcome you to our community, and we are excited about the journey ahead as we partner in serving our students and sharing in our mission.
Each year we host an induction program for new staff who have joined us from midway through the year and into the beginning of the new year. All full-time, part-time and relief staff are required to attend. The program is a valuable opportunity to learn about Rehoboth – our history, vision, and the steps we take to bring that vision to life.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Please indicate on the registration form above if you have any dietary requirements that we need to be aware of for catering purposes.
All full-time and part-time staff are also required to complete the introduction module and modules 1-2 of the CEN New Teacher Induction.
Although the course is called ‘New Teacher Induction’, the introductory modules are fantastic for staff in any role, as they unpack the core purpose and task of Christian education.
You’ll receive a separate email from Christian Education National with details on how to access the course contents. It is self-paced, but you’ll need about 2 hours to complete all three modules.

We have included reading materials that will form the basis of your induction. All staff will also need to have read and be familiar with these documents:
Teachers will receive copies of the books Show Them Jesus and Transformation by Design: The Big Picture. We draw on these extensively to inform curriculum design and pedagogy. Education Assistants will also receive a copy of Show Them Jesus.
These resources are central to our approach to Christian education and will enrich your understanding of Rehoboth’s mission and practices. It is expected that all staff will have familiarised themselves with their assigned material as well as completed the three CEN modules prior to the induction day.
Policies and procedures are the guidelines and standards that inform our behaviour and approach to a range of matters. They form a major component of our registration with the Department of Education. While all policies are accessible via Alpha, there are some key ones that all staff should be familiar with:
- Child Safe Framework
- Child Safe Code of Conduct
- Staff and Student Professional Boundaries
- Student Code of Conduct

Grounds staff complete a campus lock up each night by 4:00pm (although cleaners are in later on most days).
If you urgently need to use the main office area or staffroom after 4:00pm, please check with your Principal or Head of Learning Area earlier in the day to see whether there will be anyone else on site. Access after 4:00pm will often be possible but cannot be guaranteed.
For access in the mornings, the carpark and front doors are opened at 7:00am. In the afternoons, the carpark gates and front entrance door may be locked by 4:15pm on some days, though will often be open for some time after. If you are at Kenwick and planning to work back after this time but do not have a gate key, you should move your car to the Business Office carpark at 92 Kenwick Road before that time.
All full-time and part-time staff officially commence the new year at 8:00am, Tuesday 28 January 2025.
On this day, you will join the rest of our staff community as we share breakfast, participate in joint professional development, and then join our respective teams. The first day event is held at the Kenwick Campus. More details will be sent in early January.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Business Office on 9274 9910 after it reopens on 6 January 2025. School Administration Offices will reopen on 22 January 2025.
Students commence Term 1 on Monday 3 February 2025.
Our ICT Department will email with your Rehoboth account details and to arrange a collection date in January for you to pick up your device. Information on accessing the College network and systems will be provided at your induction, and our ICT team will be on hand at the end the day for support.

In a Christian philosophy of education, changing people is the goal, for this was the purpose of the events on which Christianity is based. The goal concerns man's relationship with God, a relationship which should be one of fellowship, full allegiance, a love which involves the whole personality [....] In such a relationship, man begins to want what God wants.
